Dip Couns. BA, BComCounsellor
Counsellor BA Psychology, Diploma of Professional Counselling
Angelina’s approach is holistic and person centred. I began my training and career in counselling in Auckland, moving to Hawkes Bay in 2016. I have worked largely in medical settings, helping clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression and stress. I recently moved into private practice, allowing me to take a more holistic approach in my work. My post graduate study has focused on the psychology of women and I began providing treatment for ACC sensitive claims clients in 2021. I believe that everyone has their own standpoint (unique way of viewing the world) and I first look to understand your standpoint in order to support you on your journey.
Membership: provisional member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC)
Modalities: I use a person centred and trauma informed approach to sensitive claims counselling. I am trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solution Focused therapy and draw techniques from these where appropriate.
